To make this year’s Walker Day a success, we need volunteers.
The main areas are the yard sale (collecting, sorting, organizing, pricing and selling), cake walk (asking for and accounting for the # of cakes coming, layout and distribution), kids games, silent auction, food service, beverage service (buying 500 sodas/ ice and arranging them in coolers, marking what’s what and refilling as needed), sponsor space layout, parking/traffic control, shuttles to distant parking spots (finding and coordinating 4 drivers), Walker merchandise sales, ticket sales (6-8 people including 50/50 raffle), putting out signs and advertising (radio/newspaper/on line), water dishes for dogs, cash management, and general volunteers for anything we’ve forgotten.
We’ve eliminated the Art Market and am planning to add a small classic car coral. If you have an oldie, (or know someone that does), please plan to bring it. We need someone to oversee the coral. That someone…or two… will simply help guide owners safely into the park area.
Johnny is happy to oversee and MC the whole thing, we just need to know that most of the smaller umbrella’s are in place.
Did we mention that all helpers get a free lunch?
If you’d like to volunteer, please fill out the form below, indicate what you’d like to volunteer for, and send it. Johnny O will get a copy of your information and will probably call you to coordinate.
Thanks for your help!
