Garage Sale

A community yard sale will open at 9am.

If you want to donate, please bring your items to the fire station on any Saturday before 11:00am.

We are taking just about any re-sellable items other than large appliances, large furniture, and beds.

Small items should be in boxes so we can get them inside and neatly stacked as they come in rather than spilling all around the building and accessible to the “pre-shoppers”.

Please contact us using the form below with special day/time requests if Saturday’s don’t work for you.

100% of the proceeds from the yard sale go directly to the Walker fire department.

We are a 501 C 3, non-profit.

You may qualify for a tax deduction for your donations. Tax receipts are always available.

For the low price of $5.00, you will get a BBQ lunch which includes a Hot Dog or a Hamburger, plus chips, soda, and a desert.

You can watch your lunch being cooked on the spot by our own WFPA members over a real live BBQ.

All proceeds, 100% of the money you spend on lunch, goes to the WFPA, including the tip jar.

Cake Walk

Our old fashioned Cake Walk is back.

Buy a ticket for one dollar for your chance to win a cake!

We start with 12 walkers, who each stand on one of 12 numbers drawn in a circle on the fire station driveway.

Music starts and the 12 people walk around the circle. When the music stops, everyone stops on the nearest number.

Some random person picks a card from a hat with a number on it, from 1 to 12.

Whoever is standing on that number wins one of the 20 or so cakes of their choice.

We need volunteers to bake cakes for the cake walk.

Please contact Johnny O with the form below if you could contribute. We appreciate it!

WFPA Benefit

All proceeds from the entire event will be given to the WFPA, the Walker Fire Protection Association.

The WFPA is the organization that manages the financial and logistic aspects of the Walker Volunteer Fire Department.

They ensure that the trucks are maintained, insurance is paid for, and everything is in place to support the fire department.

Without the WFPA, there is no fire department. Without the fire department, well, we’re just very thankful they can do what they do.

If you see a tip jar around anywhere during Walker Day, please give generously.

The community of Walker and the WFPA appreciate your support. Thanks!
